Health & Safety

As a company, we recognise the need for the utmost attention to health and safety issues in order to prevent anyone from coming to harm, and therefore, we expect total cooperation from our team in maintaining our impeccable health and safety track record.

We ensure a safe working environment by continuously improving our health and safety management systems and sharing this with our staff through regular team meetings and Tool Box Talks. Envirolectrics encourage safe working practices by undertaking both internal and external monitoring of our practices, site work, communication systems, training requirements and most importantly a constant review/update of our safety policies and procedures. In addition, our work is managed by an in-house Chartered Electrical Engineer (MIET) and audited by a Health & Safety Consultancy.

Site specific training is given to the team to enable them to undertake all aspects of their day to day working activities and this is further backed by training, given through apprenticeships and improving trade skills, as well as specific training in areas such as first aid, working at heights, confined space and operating equipment.  Our team are trained to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme.

Each contract has appropriate risk assessments and method statements for all work undertaken. We plan for the appropriate PPE equipment and work methods to be employed on each contract, and when required, we prepare or work to a Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan. We also have a programme of inspection for site equipment and reporting on safety performance for each contract.
